1778 – How to find the product code of my Promethean hardware
A product code is used to identify a particular product or model.
It is generally shorter than the full name of the product and contains alphanumeric characters and sometimes hyphens.
The product code is usually found on the item itself but its location can vary: front, back, top, side, underside.
For serialised items, it is often written on a bar-coded sticker with the serial number.
You may also find it on the original packaging or on any document that came with the product such as a user guide or a sales invoice.
A product code may be labelled differently depending on the item.
Look for words such as ‘Product code’, ‘Model number’, ‘Model no’, ‘Model’, ‘Item code’, ‘SKU’, ‘Description’, to help you find it.
It may also be written on the product with no labelling.
Once you have the product code, you can use it to look for your product on the Support site.
