1727 – My Promethean device does not appear in the list of available AirPlay devices

If your ActivConnect or ActivPanel Elements Series does not appear in the list of available AirPlay devices:

  • Ensure that ActivCast is running and open on the ActivConnect or the ActivPanel Elements Series; you should see this screen: User-added image
  • Ensure that the ActivConnect or the ActivPanel Elements Series and your Apple device are on the same network
  • Ensure that the device name under Change Device Name and PIN Code does not contain a dot
  • Ensure that Bonjour discovery is supported on your network

NB: If Bonjour is not supported on your network, follow the instructions below depending on your Promethean device:

ActivConnect

Download and install ActivCast on your Apple device. This app will allow you to connect securely using a QR code, or a connection ID and password.

ActivPanel Elements Series

On the ActivPanel, open the Unified Menu and tap the Locker icon. Tap the Screen Share app (included in version 3.2 onwards) and a 6-digit Panel ID will appear.

Now, download and install Screen Share on your device. This app will allow you to connect to the ActivPanel using the 6-digit Panel ID.
