Five Things to Check for Connection Issues - ActivBoards
If you’re having trouble connecting your ActivBoard to the computer, here are five steps you can take to attempt to solve the issue yourself before contacting Promethean Support.

Updating the ActivDriver - Download and install the latest version of the ActivDriver.
Checking the ActivBoard has power - If the ActivBoard has an amplifier, make sure it is switched on.
Resetting the power - Disconnect and reconnect the power cable.
Connecting directly to the ActivBoard - Bypass any connection boxes, USB extensions or boosters.
Testing another USB port - You can also try another USB cable and another computer.
Finding your ActivBoard serial number - You will need this when you contact Promethean Support.
