Once you have connected your computer to an additional display, such as an ActivPanel or projector, launch ActivCast Sender and click the Displays icon.

Select Extend Desktop.

If you are unable to extend your desktop, please check the following: 

  • • You are using Windows 7 or later. 

  • • You have a spare video display output available on your computer. ActivCast Sender requires a spare video display output (such as VGA, DVI or HDMI) on your computer.

If you are using Windows 7 or later, and have a spare video display output, there are two further possible scenarios:

  1. Another monitor is already attached to your computer. Disconnect the monitor and try again. 

  2. Your computer 'thinks' that another monitor is attached to it. To resolve this:

    • ◦ Right click on your desktop and select Screen Resolution.

    • ◦ If you see more than one display in the panel, select the second display. 

    • ◦ From the Multiple displays dropdown, select Show desktop only on 1, and then click Apply.

    • ◦ When prompted, click Keep changes.

    • ◦ Click on the second display again. From the Multiple displays dropdown, select Remove this display, and then click Apply.

    • ◦ If there are still additional displays shown, repeat these steps.
