1607 – How do I create a student database?
You can assign student names to devices from database files. Import your existing database, or generate and export a database using ActivInspire. This article explains how to generate a student database in ActivInspire.
Open the Voting Browser and click Assign students to devices. Alternatively, go to the Edit menu and select Student Database.
Click Edit Database.
Firstly, you need to create a class. Click Add Class and type the Class Name, Teacher Name, and click Submit.
Add each of your students by clicking Add Student. Type the Last Name, First Name and Student ID, and then click Submit. Date of birth, notes and gender are optional. Repeat this process for the whole class.
Once you have added all of your students’ details, select the class and student names, and click the left arrow button to add those students to the selected class.
Click OK. Your student database has been created. If you teach multiple classes, simply click Add Class again and repeat the process.
Now you can assign devices to students in your class.
