1365 – My ActivPrimary lower toolbar appears and then disappears

When launching ActivPrimary, it may appear to load normally, but the toolbar disappears when another tool is selected (such as special tools or the Resource Library). This is usually caused by file corruption and can be resolved by deleting the affected files.

Close ActivPrimary, and then navigate to your profile path in Windows Explorer; by default this is My Documents > ActivPrimary. Delete any files ending in AP2 or AP2.ap2l.

Launch ActivPrimary again. You may receive an error message stating that ActivPrimary is unable to load the backup profile date.  This happens because the software is unable to locate the files you have deleted, and is creating new ones. Click the tick to proceed, and the issue will have been resolved.

Please note, support for ActivStudio and ActivPrimary was withdrawn in December 2011.
